20 U.S.C. § 7546

Definitions

In this part:
(1)

Alaska Native

section 1602(b) of title 43The term “Alaska Native” has the same meaning as the term “Native” has in and includes the descendants of individuals so defined.

(2)

Alaska Native organization

The term “Alaska Native organization” means an organization that has or commits to acquire expertise in the education of Alaska Natives and is—
(A)
section 5304 of title 25 an Indian tribe, as defined in , that is an Indian tribe located in Alaska;
(B)
section 5304 of title 25 a “tribal organization”, as defined in , that is a tribal organization located in Alaska; or
(C)
section 619(4)(B) of title 42 an organization listed in clauses (i) through (xii) of , or the successor of an entity so listed.
