Ukraine Security Assistance Initiative

Public Law 114–92ProvidedProvided furtherProvided furtherProvided furtherProvided furtherProvided furtherThe Secretary of Defense may, in this fiscal year and each fiscal year thereafter, accept and retain contributions, including money, personal property, and services, from foreign governments and other entities, to carry out assistance authorized by section 1250 of the National Defense Authorization Act for Fiscal Year 2016 (): , That such contributions received shall be available to the Secretary of Defense, with the concurrence of the Secretary of State, to provide assistance authorized by such section, for replacement of any weapons or articles provided to entities described in subparagraphs (A) and (B) of subsection (a)(1) of such section from the inventory of the United States, and to recover or dispose of equipment previously provided to such entities: , That the Secretary of Defense shall consult with the congressional defense committees in advance of the provision of support provided to forces or groups described in subparagraph (B) of such subsection: , That the Secretary of Defense shall notify the congressional defense committees in writing upon the receipt and upon the obligation of any contribution, delineating the sources and amounts of the funds received and the specific use of such contributions: , That any notification of obligation of funds received in this section shall specify an estimated timeline for the delivery of defense articles and defense services provided and shall identify if any equipment provided requires enhanced end-use monitoring: , That contributions of money for the purposes provided herein from any foreign government or other entity may be credited to the Operation and Maintenance, Defense-Wide account, to remain available for the following two fiscal years, and used for such purposes: , That the Secretary of Defense shall provide quarterly reports to the congressional defense committees on the use and status of funds received pursuant to this section.
