42 U.S.C. § 10403

Authorization of appropriations

(a)

Formula grants to States

(1)

In general

There is authorized to be appropriated to carry out sections 10401 through 10412 of this title, $175,000,000 for each of fiscal years 2011 through 2015.

(2)

Allocations

(A)

Formula grants to States

(i)

Reservation of funds

section 10412 of this titleFor any fiscal year for which the amounts appropriated under paragraph (1) exceed $130,000,000, not less than 25 percent of such excess funds shall be made available to carry out .

(ii)

Formula grants

section 10406(a) of this titleOf the amounts appropriated under paragraph (1) for a fiscal year and not reserved under clause (i), not less than 70 percent shall be used for making grants under .

(B)

Grants to tribes

section 10409 of this titleOf the amounts appropriated under paragraph (1) for a fiscal year and not reserved under subparagraph (A)(i), not less than 10 percent shall be used to carry out .

(C)

Technical assistance and training centers

section 10410 of this titleOf the amounts appropriated under paragraph (1) for a fiscal year and not reserved under subparagraph (A)(i), not less than 6 percent shall be used by the Secretary for making grants under .

(D)

Grants for State Domestic Violence Coalitions

section 10411 of this titleOf the amounts appropriated under paragraph (1) for a fiscal year and not reserved under subparagraph (A)(i), not less than 10 percent of such amounts shall be used by the Secretary for making grants under .

(E)

Administration, evaluation and monitoring

Of the amount appropriated under paragraph (1) for a fiscal year and not reserved under subparagraph (A)(i), not more than 2.5 percent shall be used by the Secretary for evaluation, monitoring, and other administrative costs under this chapter.

(b)

National domestic violence hotline

section 10413 of this titleThere is authorized to be appropriated to carry out $3,500,000 for each of fiscal years 2011 through 2015.

(c)

Domestic Violence Prevention Enhancement and Leadership Through Alliances

section 10414 of this titleThere is authorized to be appropriated to carry out $6,000,000 for each of fiscal years 2011 through 2015.

(d)

Additional funding

For the purposes of carrying out this chapter, in addition to amounts otherwise made available for such purposes, there are appropriated, out of any amounts in the Treasury not otherwise appropriated, for fiscal year 2021, to remain available until expended except as otherwise provided in this subsection, each of the following:
(1)
$180,000,000 to carry out sections 10401 through 10412 of this title, to be allocated in the manner described in subsection (a)(2), except that—
(A)
a reference in subsection (a)(2) to an amount appropriated under subsection (a)(1) shall be considered to be a reference to an amount appropriated under this paragraph;
(B)
section 10406(c)(4) of this title1

(C)

funds made available to a State in a grant under and obligated in a timely manner shall be available for expenditure, by the State or a recipient of funds from the grant, through the end of fiscal year 2025;
(2)
section 10409 of this title $18,000,000 to carry out .

section 10413 of this title $2,000,000 to carry out , of which $1,000,000 shall be allocated to support Indian communities.
